Papyrus EXeBITS

The fabled technical paper presentation ceremony. Keep your listeners engrossed and intrigued- you walk away with the prize.

·         The event is held in separately in three categories:
A.        Electronics & Communication and Instrumentation
B.        Computer Science and IT
C .       Other engineering branches
·         Team can include a maximum of two members.
·         The topics for presentation will be announced on the website.
·         Multimedia presentations are allowed.
·         The event will be conducted in two phases:
TOPICS for each category is mentioned in the website: www.yagnadhruva11.com 

Phase One
-         Mail the entire paper along with abstract to papyrusexebits@yahoo.com for screening by February 21, 2011.
-         Remember to specify the event name and category to which paper belongs in the subject field.
-         The documents should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or Printable Document Format (.pdf).
-         The papers should be A4 sized in size 12 Times New Roman font with one and half line spacing and the two column IEEE format.
-         Specify the names of team member(s) along with contact numbers in the email.
-         Acceptance will be communicated via email by 21 February 2011.

Phase Two
-         Selected teams should email a copy of their slides before 24 February 2011.
-         The presentation should conclude in 15 minutes. This will be followed by discussion.
-         Two hard copies of the presentation slides should be brought to the event.
-         Presentations should be brought in a CD.
-         The decisions of the judges are final and binding.

Newton Niche

Rein in some applause for your own brand of creativity. Give us innovative solutions based on sound logic and proven facts to problems posed.

Buff up on your trivia: We are certainly not asking which the longest river is.

·         Teams may consist of a maximum of two members.
·         This is a two-tier event:

Round 2 Selected teams will enter the finals, the various rounds of which will be let known at the time.

Moot-Unmoot

Knowledge is great. Couple it with some lightning quick rebukes and sharp quips and then we have a contest. Be a part of the big showdown- the Debate.

Techie Dizzine

Pick a weapon of your choice to scoop out some of those creative juices onto paper in this technical poster design competition.

·         Teams may consist of a maximum of two members.
·         Topics will be displayed on the website.
·         The posters are to be prepared on a chart paper, the facing side of which should clearly indicate the topic, name(s) of the team members and college.
·         Judges decisions are final and binding.


MatshoOoT

Brush up on your MATLAB skills for this challenging coding game.

·         Teams may consist of a maximum of two members.
·         The event has two rounds:
Round 1 Written preliminary on MATLAB basics.
Round 2 Selected teams will enter the finals wherein the team would have to solve a given problem using MATLAB code.
·         Judges decisions are final and binding.


TechnocraT

How good are you in putting two and two together? We call ourselves engineers but in the overall scheme of things…how well do you measure up? Take your rightful place at the top of the ladder: Test the engineer in you.

·         This is an individual event.
·         The event consists of three rounds:
Round 1 Written preliminary that tests your aptitude and logical skills.
Round 2 Design a product based on the given components.
Round 3 Prove your engineering talent/skills solve a dispute in a given situation.
·         Participants will face elimination in all rounds.
·         Judges decisions are final and binding.


Tranzfiguration

·         Teams should consist of not more than two participants.
·         The event consists of two rounds:
Round 1 Written preliminary with questions based on JAVA and C.
Round 2 Qualifying teams will go in for a practical session of two hours duration wherein codes have to be converted from JAVA to C and vice versa.

Rock n Roll (Ganamela)
If music rocks your DNA then indulge in the ABCs of rhythm and beats.
Bring together a show stopper and drum your way to glory…


•       Only one team allowed per college.

•       All participants must produce valid ID cards while registering for the event.
•       Each team will be given a time slot of 30 minutes, empty to empty.
•       Use of pre-recorded beats are strictly prohibited.

How about swaying yourself to a wonderful shore of curves and beats, looks and turns, drums and thumps,


•       Individual event.
•       Consists of two rounds.
•       Prelims:The contestant will have to dance to the tunes of a song of his/her own choice.
(Time limit:5 minutes).
•       5 participants will be shortlisted for the finals.
•       Finals:The contestant will have to perform a thematic dance based on a song of his/her own choice. (Time limit:7 minutes).




Voice of Dhruva
A voice that can win a million hearts and the confidence to flaunt it!!!


•       Only indian songs are allowed.
•       Audition round will be conducted.
•       6 contestants will be shortlisted for the finals-3 males & 3 females.
•       Karaoke if any,must be brought in a CD in MP3 format by the participants an must be labelled with the college name.

Facade (Face Painting)

•       All music CDs have to be given in the MP3 format.

•       The first clue will be disclosed at the starting point.
•       Clues leading to the treasure must be uncovered.
•       Whoever gets the treasure first will be rewarded.




Kaleidoscope (Rangoli)


•       Size of rangoli:3 x 3.

•       Floor and chalk markings must not be visible on completion of the rangoli.
